A preface before you read on -

As part of one of the courses I'm taking with @reallyLeila and @marketingwithme, we had to do a #solitudechallange.  The goal is to disconnect (physically) and let your thought's wander free as they may.

So over the "Thanksgiving" holidays the family had planned a trip to the country side with log cabins, minimal coverage and above all a chance to "De-connect" with the world, while connecting with each other.

It’s amazing how many different directions your mind can steer into during 30 minutes of solitude; here’s a raw look at what mine did:

1.    Family, especially kids, how important of a role they play in our lives.  My kids, by simply being kids allow me to de-stress.
2.    The world is transitioning, not sure if it’s really for the better…
3.    We have become de-sensitized to our surroundings.
4.    Time is equally distributed amongst all, regardless of the variables we have to fill out to identify ourselves…
5.    What do I need to do differently for the next year to be productive member of society…

Now, as we head back to the norms of daily routines, these thoughts will serve as a reminder of a "moment" in time, where it was just me and my thoughts.
